## Overview

Bosnia is the European trip that surprises people most. Halal food is simply how the country eats, the mosques are Ottoman and central rather than hidden, and the history — siege, rebuilding, and four centuries before that — is told by people who lived it. Six days, one of the best-value trips we run, and the one we recommend to anyone who thinks Muslim Europe starts and ends with Spain.


## Day by day

### Days 1–2 — Sarajevo
The Baščaršija, the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and madrasa, the Latin Bridge, the Tunnel of Hope, and Friday prayer in Sarajevo.

### Day 3 — Mostar
Stari Most at first light, the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, the Ottoman old town and Blagaj's dervish monastery on the Buna river.

### Day 4 — Travnik & Jajce
Ottoman Travnik's fortress and the coloured mosque, the Jajce waterfall and the medieval royal town.

### Days 5–6 — Bosnian mountains
A mountain day around Bjelasnica or Lukomir, then back to Sarajevo for the farewell dinner.

## Halal food and prayer

Halal is the norm rather than the exception in Bosnia — ćevapi, burek and slow-cooked dishes without a caveat. Every included meal is halal and every property we use is alcohol-free.

Sarajevo, Mostar, Travnik and Jajce all have mosques at the centre of town, and the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque is on the itinerary itself. Prayer times are on the daily schedule.
