## Overview

The United States has around 4.5 million Muslims and some of the oldest Muslim communities in the West — Dearborn, Michigan, has been majority-Muslim for generations and its halal food culture shows it. The trip-planning problem is scale: this is a country where a five-hour flight is a normal hop. We run it as city-focused routes with internal flights, and we build in the Muslim neighbourhoods rather than treating them as an afterthought.

## Halal food and prayer

In the cities on our routes halal food is genuinely easy: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Dearborn all have deep halal food scenes, including certified restaurants and butchers. Every included meal is halal, and larger cities give you real choice in free time.

New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dearborn all have established mosques, and most cities have several. Prayer times are on the daily schedule, and Friday prayer is arranged in whichever city the group is in that day.


## Best time to go

April to June and September to October for the cities. Summer is hot in New York and Chicago; winter is harsh in the north-east but the cities are at their cheapest.


## FAQ

**Is halal food easy in the USA?**
In the big cities and in Dearborn, yes — as easy as anywhere outside the Muslim world. Rural areas on long drives need planning, which we do in advance.

**Do you cover both coasts in one trip?**
Only as a private itinerary with internal flights. The published routes stay on one coast so the pace stays sane.
